Paramotoring?

Paramotoring , also known as powered paragliding or PPG, is the most accessible and affordable form of personal aviation, combining the easy flying characteristics of a paraglider with the autonomy and range of powered flight.

Every flight on a Paramotor is an pulse-racing thrill waiting to be experienced – a dream of flight that is yours to realise. The adventurous spirit lurks in all of us, but few ever answer its call. Where Can I Fly?

Classed as a foot-launched ultralight aircraft, Paramotoring is the unlicensed thrill that brings you the dream of personal flight. And you can fly in a lot more places than you’d think. With the majority of airspace open to this type of aircraft and a range of approx. 150 miles on a single tank of fuel, paramotoring offers a massive amount of freedom and fun.

What Does it Cost?

Paramotoring is the most affordable form of powered flight but it isn’t something you should do on a shoestring budget. Paramotor training costs vary depending on the school, syllabus and location. At the affordable end of the scale expect to pay around £1000, with top level training priced at £2500+. For kit, expect to pay £8-10,000. After that, it’s just the cost for a tank of fuel.

IS IT EASY TO LEARN?

Proper training is crucial to successfully and safely enjoy your flying. A moderate level of fitness will help but a positive and resilient mindset is the real key. Along with learning the physical skills required, in-depth training will also give you sound knowledge of the rules, regulations, physics & complexities of the sport. You’ll become a safe and confident pilot in around 10-12 days of training.

We invite you to become a fully competent and safe paramotor pilot via one of our partnered paramotor instructors or training schools. Training is progressive and once you have mastered the basic skills of ‘handling’ the wing, the steps to getting into the air are straightforward. Learning to fly will bring you great joy and a sense of personal achievement while discovering an exciting new adventure sport.

For Everyone

Young or old you needn’t think it’s difficult; motor paragliding techniques are easy to pickup and you’ll quickly improve. Expect some physical activity but all levels of fitness should cope.

Minimal Training

Learning to fly a paramotor is safe, easy and lots of fun. With small class sizes and great student to instructor ratios, the majority of students complete training within a 10 day course.

No license

Classed as a foot-launched ultralight aircraft, in the majority of countries across the globe paramotoring is a self-regulated sport and has no formal pilot licensing or flight hours requirement.
